It’s a marquee matchup on Monday night from Los Angeles when the Rams and Kansas City Chiefs square off. Two of the most explosive offenses in the NFL will be in action, led by young star quarterbacks in Jared Goff and Patrick Mahomes. So, who will come out on top in these Chiefs vs Rams odds?
Chiefs-Rams is simply everything that a modern-day NFL fan seems to love: Game-breaking athletes all over the field scoring, scoring, and scoring some more. Oh, and each team has just one loss, so it could be replayed in the Super Bowl come February.
Chiefs vs Rams odds have Los Angeles as a 3.5-point favorite and will be our against the spread pick. The 63.5 total is believed to be the highest in league history. First one to 50 wins!
Estadio Azteca’s horrible field conditions have seen this game moved from Mexico City to Los Angeles. Needless to say, the Rams are probably the happiest over the development. It is slightly embarrassing for the NFL, but now the Rams get their “home” game back. L.A. is unbeaten at home this year and has scored at least 29 points in each game there.
Kansas City’s defense ranks 31st overall in yards allowed, so that could mean a monster day for Goff and Todd Gurley. Goff has thrown for 3,134 yards and 22 scores – including multiple-TD passes in each of the past four games. Meanwhile, Gurley is just the fourth player in league history with at least one TD scored in each of his team’s first 10 games. On defense, the Rams have the NFL sack leader in Aaron Donald (12.5).
As good as Goff has been, Mahomes has been better. He leads the league in passing yards (3,150), touchdowns (31) and is second in rating (117.4). Mahomes has thrown for at least 300 yards or multiple touchdowns in every game this year.
The Rams’ defense might rank higher than the Chiefs’ defense, but L.A. has been shaky of late on that side of the ball in allowing a combined 103 points in three games. Donald has been spectacular, but the secondary (featuring former Kansas City cornerback Marcus Peters) has been a problem. Mahomes actually has more weapons than Goff does in running back Kareem Hunt, receivers Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins, and tight end Travis Kelce. Watkins missed Week 10 with an injury, but is expected to play against his former team.
The NFL odds for this game has seen the line move up as much as a point toward the Rams. This could continue with the shift from Mexico City to L.A. The total has risen slightly.
