Add in the fact that the Pats are 8-1 SU at home against the Chargers since 1980 and 7-1 SU against them overall since 2005 and you have a recipe for a Patriot cover.

Many bettors actually like the Chargers to win outright here and happily take the +4 points. QB Philip Rivers has been awesome and LA has been a beast as road underdog, winning outright the past five times in this situation. That includes last week’s Wild Card win at Baltimore.
There are lots of Patriot haters hoping this game marks the end of the dynasty, that they lose bad and Brady and Gronk retire. They have struggled in the last few weeks of the season but squeezed enough wins to earn the bye.
With Rivers also nearing the end of his career, this feels like a game where he finally gets the best of Brady and advances to the SFC title game next weekend.
