Super Bowl 53 Odds Update: Rams are the Class of the NFL
Heading into Week 6 of the NFL season, the Los Angeles Rams are heavy favorites to win it all, according to the Super Bowl 53 odds.
On the latest Super Bowl 53 futures, the undefeated Rams are listed as the +295 favorite. That’s not only the best odds they’ve received this season, but the best Super Bowl odds any team has received. Boasting the No. 1 offense in the NFL and a top-10 defense, the Rams look like the class of the NFC, if not the entire league, right now.
Following the Rams on the Super Bowl futures are the Kansas City Chiefs at +600 and the New England Patriots at +650.
The Chiefs have steadily moved up the futures all season after a 5-0 start. Patrick Mahomes has more than proven he was ready to take over the starting job. Mahomes leads what has been the No. 1 scoring offense in the AFC.
Super Bowl 53 Odds: Patriots Back on Track After Early Stumble
Every time it looks like the Patriots are starting to stumble, they inevitably right the ship. After a 1-2 start to the season, the Patriots posted back-to-back wins over the Miami Dolphins and Indianapolis Colts. Adding Julian Edelman and Josh Gordon to the receiving corps may be what New England needed to get their offense going again.
Keep in mind, the Chiefs or Patriots’ odds will likely change next week. Kansas City heads to New England in Week 6.
That’s what happened last week when the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles met. The Vikings won and moved up the Super Bowl odds, going from +1800 to +1200. The Eagles have slipped from +1600 to +2000 following their loss to Minnesota. Philadelphia have also lost running back Jay Ajayi for the season. If you think the Eagles can get it together and repeat, this could be the time to make a futures bet, as their odds may not get worse this season.
Super Bowl 53 Odds: Packers, Falcons Losers on Latest Futures
The biggest losers on the Super Bowl odds this week were the Green Bay Packers and Atlanta Falcons.
Green Bay was upset by the Detroit Lions last week, which dropped them to 2-2-1 on the season. The Packers have also sunk to +2800 on the Super Bowl futures. Just a week earlier, they were listed at +1800. Green Bay should rebound this week as heavy favorites versus the San Francisco 49ers before their bye week. But it gets tough after that with back-to-back road games against the Rams and Patriots.
The Falcons may not even make the playoffs, let alone fight for the Super Bowl, after starting the season 1-4. Atlanta has lost three straight and two of those losses came as the favorite. Last week, they were crushed 41-17 by the Pittsburgh Steelers and it forced the oddsmakers to drop them to +6600 on the Super Bowl futures. The Falcons were listed at +4000 a week earlier and started the season at +1800.
